Changing the story of a world-leading trading venue

Prior to its merger with CME Group, NEX Group, the world’s most important trading venue for FX and US treasuries, needed to communicate a radical change in identity following a landmark transaction and rebranding. The group, formerly known as ICAP, had sold its voice broking business as part of a transformation plan that meant it had become a focused technology and market-infrastructure business.

Approach

We helped senior managers at NEX Group develop and articulate a new message about what the transformation meant to internal and media audiences through:

  • Formal presentation rehearsals
  • Simulated media interviews to prepare business leaders for tough questions from sceptical reporters and analysts

Result

People within NEX became confident about the new purpose and messaging of the business and felt better equipped to deliver it to all stakeholders.
